四、研究領域 (Field of Research)
本所稱「生物產業」,以農業及食品產業為主要範圍,「管理」部分則以行銷管理及傳播管理為主體。
(一)農業:
利用自然資源、農業資材及資訊科技,從事農作、森林、水產、畜牧等產製銷相關事業。本所教學研究著重於農作類之產製銷經營管理,並擴及以農業為主軸的鄉村永續發展議題。如有機鄉村為議題,鄉村休閒產業主要涵蓋與休閒、鄉村社區和永續發展等相關課題的產業。
有機農業廣義上指的是任何產業其生產/製造原料、生產過程或提供服務同時符合下列條件者:不含人工化學合成物或違反自然生產方式之物質(如基改生物成分),注重動物福祉,以及符合環保和人體健康要求。
(二)食品產業:
內容包括1.食品產業學的課題與體系化、2.食品產業學相關學科整合的課題—與經濟學的整合、行銷學與食品營養學等的整合、3.食品產業學的理論建構、4.飲食生活的變化與食品產業—國民飲食生活的變化、5.飲食生活的變化與食品產業—消費者需求的變化與食品產業的變化、6.飲食生活的變化與食品產業—國民飲食生活與食品產業的展望、7.食品產業的革新與企業行動—食品企業行動的特質、8.食品產業的革新與企業行動—食品企業的動態與其發展、9.食品產業的革新與企業行動—食品產業主體間關係變動與其課題、流通現狀與課題、技術革新與制度革新下食品流通的結構變動、10.食品產業結構變化與農漁業再建構之關連課題、11.食品政策與制度。
